Kahamelo was mandated to conduct a quantification and verification of the amounts outstanding and owed by a Farming Operation to a leading Bank for various types of loan facilities advanced, such as instalment sales agreements, production loans, medium-term loans, and overdraft facilities. Kahamelo compiled detailed amortisation schedules for the loan facilities based on the cash flows between the parties and the loan agreements signed by the parties.

In consultation with Crowe Forensics, Kahamelo (mandated by Harty Rushmere Attorneys) expressed an opinion, in the form of an expert report, on the impact of liabilities on the market value of the acquired shares in various companies, including whether it is sound to contend that the value of the shares was impacted by the warranty breached. Kahamelo also performed quantification and verification procedures on damage claims for a South African ICT and Business Support Services Provider and compiled a rebuttal report used in litigation proceedings.

Independent Forensic Analysis of Share Transactions

Kahamelo (mandated by Moodie & Robertson Attorneys) performed an independent forensic analysis of and provided an opinion on the shareholding of a Southern African Logistics Company, including the evaluation of the alleged 2018 transfer of shares. Mr Ferreira was retained as the expert evidence in support of the independent forensic analysis during the arbitration proceedings.

Kahamelo (mandated by Couzyn Hertzog & Horak Attorneys acting on behalf of South African Short-term Insurer) conducted an independent expert financial analysis in a civil litigation matter involving disputed earnings, loss of income, and alleged financial damages. The work included evaluating the plaintiff’s revenue streams, verifying source documentation, reconstructing historical income and expenses, analysing bank records, reviewing tax compliance, and assessing business performance over multiple periods. Kahamelo also reviewed and evaluated the assumptions, inputs, and valuation methodology used by the opposing forensic accountant.
